Where did you buy your child’s glasses

It can be hard to find optical shops that have a good selection of frames for kids, and that are reasonable, and nearby.  So what type of shop did you go buy your child’s glasses from?

  1. Dear Ann, We’ve corresponded in the past. I work for Seva Canada, an international eye-care charity based in Vancouver that restores sight and prevents blindness in the developing world. I need your help. I regularly send children’s frames to our partner in Africa, the Kilimanjaro Centre for Community Ophthalmology. We’re helping KCCO establish pediatric eye-care programs in about 8 countries in eastern Africa, especially Tanzania, Malawi and Madagascar. My problem is that I can’t get any infant glasses (age 2 and under). They can make the lenses there, but baby frames can’t be found in Africa for love or money. Can you help? Do you know a supplier? Or could you put the word out for Seva? I’d take used baby frames if necessary and if they are in good shape. You can call me at 1-877-460-6622 toll free for more information.
